Day 7 – Las Vegas

This morning we checked out of Hotel Whitcomb in San Francisco, and headed off to the airport to catch our flight to VEGAS! Everyone was pretty pumped to get to Vegas, most of us had never been there before. We flew across San Francisco Bay and into the desert of Nevada.

Las Vegas airport was crazy – there were so many slot machines and big flashy advertisements for Vegas shows and clubs. I’d never seen anything like it – you could definitely tell you were in Vegas! From the airport, we drove past the famous ‘Welcome to Las Vegas’ sign and checked into our hotel, Harrahs.

After this, we all hopped back on the bus for our nighttime tour of the Vegas Strip. We drove down the strip and then headed towards Fremont Street. Vegas at night was just how I imagined – so many bright neon lights. It was pretty cool to finally see it in person.

On the way to Fremont Street, our tour manager told us that we needed to stop for a minute. We all got out of the bus, and we were at a Wedding Chapel! We all piled in to the chapel, and then Elvis Presley came out and told us that Ash and Ben were getting married (much to their surprise lol!). It was hilarious!
