Day 3 and our final day in Los Angeles. Today we were off to Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure. This would be my second visit to Disneyland/California Adventure but as a huge Disney fan, I was just as excited as if it were my first visit. Even better was the fact I’d get to visit with my new Contiki family (the first time I went to Disneyland, I went alone.. which was a bit lonely to be honest!).
We started off in the newer of the two parks – Disney’s California Adventure. This park hold some of my favourite rides – like Tower of Terror and California Screamin’. It’s also the home of World of Color which is amazing (unfortunately, due to being on Contiki’s schedule, we had to miss this on this trip – such a shame). To kick off the day, we started off with a few rides on Tower of Terror – so much fun, and because it was so early in the morning, no lines!
Cars Land was open when we visited – it was under construction when I last visited. It was pretty cool – felt like you were walking through the movie! And the main attraction – Radiator Springs Racers – was so much fun! Such a looong wait though, so we could only ride once.
After we were finished exploring California Adventure, we crossed over to the original Disneyland park.
Nothing beats Disneyland (except, maybe, Disney World). We spent the rest of the day making sure we did the iconic rides like Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain and the Matterhorn Bobsleds.
We also took lots of selfies at Disneyland (because why not). The 6 of us – my roomie Courtney, Ash, Sam, Sarah, Kellie and me became quite close over our 2 week trip and Disneyland was where it all started! 🙂
Next up, we were off to San Francisco!!
